We are located in Dunmurry town, 5 miles away from Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Belfast has increasingly become a destination for migration, seeing a rapid growth of the Muslim community, manifested most recently with the arrival of hundreds of Syrian brothers and sisters under the resettlement programme. Teaching Arabic has now become an urgent priority, as families settle in Northern Ireland, benefiting and enriching both the Muslim and the wider community through bridging cultural differences.In the summer of 2008, Iqraa School Belfast (a registered charity), was established by a group of individuals who were concerned about the lack of options in teaching and learning the Arabic language.
